How do I remove water stains off suede boots?
I have Bearpaws, which are the same things as uggs basically. I have large water stains on them, and they are darker than the rest of the boot with a white circle surrounding the stain. They are really big stains and I’m going to need a good remedy to remove them.
Please don’t suggest buying water resistant spray at this point because the stain is already there and I need something to remove it, not protect the boot.
You will need to use a napping brush and a nubuck cloth and this will get rid of anything that can be removed. Do not use a wet cleaner as this will not resolve the problem and can make it worse. Use the napping brush to raise the pile (you can scrub quite hard) and this will break up the stain, then clean with the nubuck cloth wrapped tightly round a sponge to ermove any dirt from the surface.
Once you have cleaned them use a waterstop protector to help resist stains in the future
