How can I plum a sink and a washing machine from the same water source?
The water source has compression fittings (one hot, one cold).
The washer connection is a brass connection (garden hose size).
I need to know if it is possible, and the types of connection fittings to look for.
err. I meant to say plumb.
I am converting a kitchen into a laundry room. I only have one cold and one hot water pipe. I would also prefer NOT to weld or solder anything.
You need to keep the size at least 1/2 which Im assuming your source is. Get two compression tees to feed hot and cold to the washer fittings and enough soft copper tubing 1/2 inch to reach the washer supply valves.Buy flanged faucets so you can screw them into the wall I would screw a piece of wood to the studs first then screw the faucets to it. The faucets shoud have hose outlets on top and 1/2npt threads on the bottom. Buy two1/2 npt to 1/2 compression fittings to screw into the bottom of the faucets use thread sealent. Now connect the pipe to the compression fittings ,your done.
