When running a race, is it appropriate to wear only Under Armour pants only and nothing over them?
I look at it like thermal underwear. It would not be appropriate to wear only those and nothing over them.
That depends on a couple of things. What level are you running at (hobby, high school, college)? What event are you talking about running? Are you male or female?
Sprinters (male and female) often wear only tights to run, the belief being that they can shave time by being more aerodynamic. College track and field uniforms for women are often simply tights. Many women (and even a few men) at the hobby level will wear only running tights during training and races. However, this is typically discouraged at the high school level, and typically men are less likely at any level to wear only tights since we protrude more.
So examine the entire situation to make your decision. There are some situations where you can wear only spandex pants, and there are some situations where it is best to just put on a pair of shorts over them.
