Is This All I Need For Softball?
I’m joining softball this year and I don’t know anything about gear (what to bring or buy, etc). I want to buy my own bat and everything but I only have these as the things I need.
*Bag
*Bat 32”-34”
*Glove Mitt
*Gloves
*Knee high (black socks)
*Shoes
*Black Under-Armor
*Helmet
-Do I need all of these or can I not buy them or what? The last time I played softball was when I was in first grade or something & now I’m a senior :] I can’t believe I wasted 10-11 years of this :[ in PE last week we started playing it and I loved it!! I couldn't believe I wasted that much time. I was normally a cheerleader but I quit my freshman year because a lot of preps were joining and they kept saying stuff behind my back and the coach says, "cheer is family, we stick together." Ha, ya right! So I left. She wasn't a good coach, though.

The shoes you need are ‘baseball cleats’. There are usually plenty of bats around, you may want to use some of the team bats until you get a feel for the right one. When you buy, make sure the bat is the right weight (if it’s too heavy your bat speed will be slow and you’ll drop your hands on the swing to compensate for the weight; not good).
You’ll need a glove and a bag to carry all your stuff is nice. Everything else are ‘nice to have’s’; I like batting gloves. The team should supply the helmet unless you really want your own.
