can work boots with a logger heel be resoled with a normal heel?
i’ve got a pair of thorogood workboots with a lugged vibram sole and a logger heel that was great when i was working on metal ladders a lot, but now that i spend most of my time on the ground, i don’t care for such a high heel. would a shoe shop be able to resole them and put a normal heel on, or are the shoes rockered for a high heel and would never feel right without one?

please don’t tell me to buy new ones – high quality steel-toed work boots are very expensive, and they can be resoled at 25% of the cost. i am specifically trying to avoid buying new boots since these still have plenty of life left in them.
