the nozzle on the spray gun jams?
I purchased the Ryobi PAR 200 spray painter about two weeks ago. The first time I used it, it work
great for the first hour and than it stopped spraying. I had to clean the nozzle out every five minutes. After I was done with the job, I clean the equipment including the gun.
The second time I used the sprayer, I when and purchased a new gun and nozzle (the largest hole Home Depo had) however I’m still having the same problem with the gun jamming and no paint coming out. I took the end nozzle part (the orange part with the black nozzle) off the gun and tried it. It sprayed fine with pressure, which tell me that the problem is with the nozzle. But when I put the nozzle I have to stop and clean the nozzle with water. Sometime I turn the nozzle 90 degrees and the paint threw. This will work of a little while but after a few minutes it will jam and I have to clean the nozzle. I fine myself cleaning the nozzle very 5 minutes.
The problem is the paint, not the gun.
Paint has solids in it. It’s appliede with a roller, or brush. Some solids are larger than others and must be strained out of the paint before loading the spray gun. Many painters use cheesecloth to strain the paint. But it must be strained first.
If it still clogs, add a little more water, to thin the mixture, and try again. Good luck.
