Do you need training or certificates at all to be a basic office cleaner?
my mum is wanting to become a cleaner in an office i work in, she would be working a max of 4 hours a week doing washing up, drying, emptying bins, cleaning toilet areas and kitchens and wiping down desks. she has a spec of what she will be doing each day. but she has heard that you need a certificate because she is handling bleach (health and safety gone mad) does anyone know whether this is compulsory and what certificate or training she needs if any.
She will be told at the interview if she needs any certificates (I doubt it), and if she does I would assume her employer would pay for any training she needs. Must say, been in business for many years and have never of it.
