Is it compulsory for truck companys in Oz to make there drivers wear a uniform.?
Do Truck companys in Australia expect there drivers to wear a uniform?Is it compulsory? When I drove in the USA and Canada no drivers wore them at all? Just wondering if its just more of a a cultural thing hear in Oz to wear them. Over there I had a bright flurorescent safety vest and steel capped boots and I hardly ever wore them anyway when I arrived at a loading dock. consignee/shipper. There was only a few exceptions.
Many transport companies in Australia expect their drivers to wear a company uniform and some don’t expect it. It is perfectly legal for them to make it compulsoryif they wish to do so and If you want to work for a company that has a uniform, you wear the uniform or work elsewhere.
