Put 4 cycle Oil in my 2 cycle Mcculloch chain saw? ?
What wil this do? Is it ok? What should i do if it is bad?
Perhaps in a life and death emergency but just for convenience NO
2 cycle oil is intended to provide lubrication to the cylinder from the “top’ of the cylinder as it is mixed with gasoline before the engine is started.
the oil is continually “used up” as the engine runs. 4 cycle oil lubricates the cylinder and other engine parts from the bottom (the crankcase) and circulates being used over and over again until you change the oil. These oils are not interchangeable they work in much different ways and are formulated for each use. solution: buy some 2 cycle oil.
