What are some cheap tough work boots?
I work at home depot i do heavy lifting. And yesterday dropped cement board on my foot. no fractures just a removal of a nail and stiched on FUN STUFF. Anyway i want to stop that from occuring again. I want steel toe boots that are comfortable, for the three shifts i like to pull sometimes, overtime is good right. i looked at herman survivors steel toe at walmart for 42.50, sounds good are they durable. Looked at wolverines at academy for 59.99 i bet they are good. had a friend who bought wolverine cowboy style boots the sole seperated in one month. i dont know what to get please help.
There are a number of kinds, for the most comfortable I have found for my feet are the bates tactical enforcer style. There are a number of kinds and run 40-8- dollars. Expect about 50+ for the steel toe or the reinforced toe. I bought a off brand shoe, I cant even think of the brand for 20 bucks with steel toe, that held out for a long time. Got it at Academy.
Wolverines are expensive and stylish. I am using a hiker boot style with leather. its alright, But I will probably go back to the Bates once it wears out. I have never tried red wings, but I cant justify 100-200 bucks on a shoe with a limited life span.
The biggest problem with boots I buy is that they do wear out rather quickly (usually every 6-8 months the bottoms are smoothed flat with no treat. and the cushion inside the shoes are torn up.)
