Good patrol vehicle.?
I’m looking for a vehicle to use as a patrol vehicle for a mall. It has to be able to run 24/7 and be reliable. Be good in poor weather condition. Seat at least 4. Have enough cargo room to store cones, flares, medical kits and other supplies. Also be able to support a full size light bar that must run all the time, so it has to have a good electrical system. Any suggestions?? The current vehicle is a 2008 Ford Escape XLS (4cyl) and it is not up to the task.
Well things that have gone wrong with the Ford Escape. (after only 24,000miles)
1 transmision
2 alternators
2 batteries
2 transmission oil coolers
1 broken front axle
1 broken throtle cable
many other little problems.
Would a police vehicle such as a Crown Vic. or Durango do well in the stop and go traffic of a parking lot?
daam all that in Ford ? i would not buy one if this is the case. i would recommend any Toyota 4×4 or 2×4.
