Do deluge sprinkler systems have water flow alarms?
Fire suppression sprinkler systems commonly have “water flow alarms” that detect flow in the system whenever a sprinkler is activated (or water flows for another reason) due to the break of a fusible link. Do deluge systems (that do no rely on individual head activation but flow when fire is detected by other means) have the same type of alarms?

As you already have some knowledge of the mechanical (alarm bell hammer physically triggered by flow-vanes) & electric water-flow sensors used in fusible link systems, there is typically a water-flow sensor placed into modern electronically-triggered fire sprinklers, since the water-evacuation air-column (in dry-standpipe systems to prevent rust/corrosion/clogging in the system while inactive) is compromised when triggered to flow. In a deluge system this sensor is usually called a “trouble alarm sensor”, since a leak flow (not due to an alarm trigger) can be just as problematic as a fire.
I’ll check the current US/NFPA fire codes/standards to see how technology & sensor improvements have affected what components are currently “required” in a fire suppression deluge system (versus, say, halogen gas “sprinklers” for electronics & computer rooms). Many “old school” techniques are kept in place as requirements, since “low tech” tends to be more foolproof than “high tech”.
