Pressure calculation and pipe sizing for fire sprinkler protection systems?
I have an existing sprinkler pipe (end point of diam. size 32 mm) at underground level A and I intend to use this sprinkler pipe upwards to ground level B to serve other area. May I know how can I size my pipe and what is the static pressure? My pump rating is 850L/min and its pump head is 40m. The height distance between level A and B is 10 m.
There are specific code requirements for fire protection design, varying by locale. You must have a certified engineer design and approve the system. No sense bothering to do any calcs, since the engineer will charge you for them anyway.
