How important is “Show, don’t tell”?
When we opened the door,
there was a large picture
hanging on the far wall.
Under the picture, the title:
“The Truth”.
We could not see the picture.
It was covered
in mud.
As the poets filled the room,
each one began to devise a way
to uncover the picture
on the wall.
Our only tools
were our words,
our poems.
The poets raced furiously,
pens ablaze, sheets filling with lines,
stanzas, rhymes,
metered masterpieces.
“No! Start again!” And the pens
would blur the air
with even greater fury,
as the picture hung, waiting.
The Poet entered quietly
and aimed intently
at the middle of the picture,
the fire-hose
heavy in cracked hands, the pressure
of the water
testing the arms.
“ALL CLEAR!!”
and the valve
opened.
We gathered our pens and followed
in silence.

I see Blue Belle has caught the fever of wanting to be inside your head…your mind, oh, your mind!
The feeling of silence to me was in awe and respect for TRUTH. The fact is that truth is truth, it can be defined by different people of differing faiths using many different words, but REAL Truth speaks for itself, it needs no words as it is all words to all people. I’m not sure I’m saying this in the correct manner, but I know what I’m trying to say!
The fact that you capitalized the Poet, made me take this in a spiritual way.
