Why don’t my windscreen washers fire sufficient washer fluid?
When I try and clean my windscreen the fluid takes at least 5 seconds to come through and when it eventually does it only fires a very short distance, only a few inches. The pumps are definitely working as you can hear them. I have tried using an air hose to dislodge any blockage but this had no effect. Is it likely that there is a blockage inside the tank (from the tank side)?
Pull out the pump from the reservoir, it should just pull out. There will be a rubber grommet in the hole and this also serves as a filter. Pull this out and wipe it.
Will be a good excercise to swill out the reservoir before reassembling.
