i need information- fire fighting equipment?
I am doing a paper(that will eventually need to be 6 pages in length) about Firefighting..one of my topics is on present day tools such as the Jaws of life, bunker gear-Nomex, Kevlar and how it was rubber before, (i start off with past tools like Bed Key’s and Salvage Bags)
And i need websites with information…and i’m having a terribly difficult time finding any! I chose this topic because my dad’s a fireman..so any firemen or family answering out there…let me know! its cool to know my extended family!! : )
Well one of the most interesting firefighting devices that is still being employed today is the water grenade, it was a big glass ball filled with fluid that was thrown into the fire, my old department has about twenty of them, they have improved the basic concept of it in present day

Besides that you could always mention how SCBA tanks have improved over the years from steal to woven fiberglass tanks, and fire extinguishers have changed (used to be solid brass).
Another good idea would be to discuss nozzles cause they have been changed so often in the history of firefighting youll never run out of things to say, they used to just be straight stream now-a-days you have 50-60 diffrent types of streams and nozzels…fog, straight, venting, maned, unmaned…………good luck
