If I sprayed fire extinguisher in my oven, is it harmful?
If I tried to clean it out, but there still might be some remaining spray in there. Is this going to be harmful to cook food in or even toxic? I mean, I don’t know if it ok to use now?
If you used an ABC extinguisher the chemicals can be corrosive and toxic to electronic components and metal. It is best to have this checked by an experienced professional once you get the mess cleaned up.
I did this once many years ago and since most of what was told to me was wishy-washy (could be harmful, may be toxic) I decided to replace my range. Better to be safe than sorry and new ranges are fairly inexpensive as far as appliances go.
ETA: visit kiddeus.com and review their product safety manuals. They specifically say DO NOT use self- cleaning feature. And they recommend BC extinguishers for kitchen.
