what causes a lp gas stove to flashback when the burner is lit?
The stove is a commercial 4 burner stove top that is run off a large LP tank 3 of the 4 will occasionally flashback when trying to light. but one will flash back every time. it was covered in cooking oil and grease, I since cleaned it but it continues to flashback into the control. is there anything I can check or do to make it stop doing this and make it work? Also does anyone know what the pressure should be on the line to the stove. it is ties into a fire extinguisher system that has a tag which says a max of 2 psi.
there are no pilots, the burners have to be lit with a stick lighter! its the burners that flashback into the tubes and pop loud when it happens!
the gas pressure is too high.
