Bosch Dishwasher fire?
There was a recall issued on my Bosch dishwasher, why wasn’t I notified. This afternoon I was sitting at my computer in the kitchen when I smelt something plastic burning. To my horror it was the control panel on my Bosh dishwasher. Flames were shooting out of the front charing my cabinet and counter trim. If we had been away or asleep our home would have been destroyed. We immediately cut the power to the entire house, but was only able to get the fire out by by spraying the front with a fire extinguisher to get to the fire inside the door panel.
Appliance Technitian removed burned control unit, and tried to order it through A.P. Wagner and Reliable Parts, but were told that the part is discontinued and no longer available.
What should be done, and who should be contacted.
man there’s a 1-800 number on your owner’s manual and on the model/seriel sticker on the dishwasher. you’re entitled maybe.
