For this reason there is an increasing supply and range of rescue chairs and training classes offered to business that require the addition of this critical accessibility gear.
Companies that produce evacuation equipment for the disabled also understand that most citizens do not have significant experience with the use of rescue or evacuation chairs and will require a small training program to help learn how to use the new accessibility equipment when a business equips their building with it. As a result, there are training courses that can be exported to large businesses, or taught at remote sites that will ensure everyone is enabled with the right training to use an evacuation chair in the event of tragedy.
Some of the critical factors to consider when looking at evacuation chairs for purchase include: the maximum weight the chair is rated at, and the number of personnel required to operate the chair in the event of evacuation. The majority of the models on the market require a single operator, but there can be weight limitations that may fall under the needs of the business employees or residents of apartment buildings. The two-person rescue chairs are able to evacuate one large person or two smaller individuals, however, will require two people to operate.
