Can I cut mirror tiles with a wet saw?
I want to get these mirror tiles-http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xgq/R-100554619/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053
I have one of those little red wheel glass cutters, but from what I’ve read they don’t work that well… I have a wet saw, but wasn’t sure if it would splinter the mirror. Has anyone tried? Is there a certain blade you can purchase (diamond tip?) that would work? I’m cutting a decent bit of them (about 30-40), so if there is a fast, good way to do this, I really want to know. Thanks!
You might want to buy a tile cutter,not a saw. It works like a glass cutter but has a board, square, handle and the cutter wheel runs on a track. The handle has two fingers to break the glass after it is scored. The secret with cutting glass is to break it immediately ( under one second) after scoring. I think they only cost about $20. at home depot. I think a wheel would shatter the glass. You can use a belt sander on the edges if uou need to round a corner.
