What’s some good, not super expensive, motorcycle body armor?
I’ve found relatively cheap vests that haven’t gotten the greatest reviews, I’ve found the top-of-the-line Dainese gear, and I’ve found motocross/quad armor that looks cool and is the right price, but I don’t know if it’s rated for highway-speed crashes on pavement.
I’m completely new to the sport bike scene and I don’t know if the cheap stuff is good enough, or if I should take the route of “It’s my health, I should spend as much money as I can to get the best protection possible.”

You get what you pay for. I like 500 denier cordura/gore-tex armored touring gear (which happens to be locally made). I don’t ride sport though, where fashion seems more important that safety
