Retrofit cabinets with built-in fire suppression
SEVO Systems True ® Retrofit ™, using 3M ™ Novec ™ 1230 Fire Protection Fluid is a major component in the two recently published Fire-Flex ® DUAL and 1230 integrated fire control cabinets.
In contrast to conventional fire suppression clean agent systems, SEVO uses the properties of the liquid and increases the pressure on the system rated pressure of the standard welded cylinder – 500 psi, instead of industry-standard psi of 360. Increased plant availability pressure provides more options in the system design, allowing longer cable lengths, smaller tube diameter and more flexible design limits and nozzle placement.
Retrofit of existing halon systems easier and cheaper with a 500 psi system, as the existing pipeline networks are often used. One-to-one cylinder Replacement reduces downtime and increases the cost and space savings.
FireFlex Systems, Inc., the Broisbriand, QC, Canada has the SEVO 1230 True Retrofit System as a clean agent suppression system of choice in the 1230 and FireFlex FireFlex dual closets. These cases include all necessary components for a complete fighting system, displayed including the release. The FireFlex DUAL integrated a pre-action sprinkler system with the 1230 system SEVO assembled in a factory single housing. All necessary Components for both complete extinguishing systems are fully integrated, including a joint release panel.
The FireFlex DUALand 1230 cabinets are in a variety of sizes and are designed to SEVO cylinder (with capacities ranging from 15L to 345l) observed, that, for certain configuration to the protected hazard. The cabinets are free standing and made of durable schedule 14 steel with a stainless steel, painted bright red, polyester powder coating and oven baked on a phosphate basis. They are equipped with one or two front doors locked, making space for easy installation and maintenance.
In the FireFlex DUAL, the combined pre-action system and SEVO 1230 suppression system are configured to discharge water to prevent the hazard. If the system is suppressed SEVO 1230 fire reached the room before a sufficiently high temperature to open a sprinkler, the sprinkler system will not be activated. The SEVO 1230 system with a single control or cross-zone smoke detection System.The Pre-action system is a single interlock, power sharing, in which the deluge valve opens, and fill out the system and wait to activate a sprinkler system, before the release of water in the area. Also available is a double locking system, electric-pneumatic release, in the deluge valve for a smoke detector and a sprinkler system to activate before the opening of waiting, fills the system and water flows through the activated sprinkler (s).
The True SEVO Retrofit System only use the Halon alternative clean agent 3M Novec 1230 Fire Protection Fluid (FK-5-1 to 12). Novec 1230 has no ozone depletion potential and the lowest atmospheric lifetime for the chemical cleaning agent alternatives: 5 days. 3M Blue SkySM 20-year warranty offers protection against regulatory bans or restrictions on the use of Novec 1230 Fluid.The FireFlex DUAL and 1230 cabinets provide clean sprinkler contractor an economical and convenient way to install agent systems.
